Chameleon Integrated Services Opens Montgomery, Alabama Office to Support DISA Global Service Desk Contract

St. Louis, Mo., August 10, 2016 – Chameleon Integrated Services (Chameleon) has opened an office in Montgomery, Alabama to support the $22 million Global Service Desk support and management services contract it was awarded last year by the United States Defense Information System Agency (DISA). DISA’s Global Service Desk (GSD) operation is based at Maxwell Air Force Base, Gunter Annex in Montgomery, and also has operations in Ogden, Utah and Ft. Meade, Maryland. Since winning the contract, Chameleon has added approximately 45 new employees, including over 30 in Montgomery.

“Since being awarded this contract, we have learned that the size and scope of the effort requires the presence of a corporate office in Montgomery,” said Drew Acree, President and Co-owner of Chameleon. “We have made a five-year commitment to this new Montgomery office, which is now staffed by our Global Service Desk Program Manager and five task leadership team members.”
The Montgomery location of GSD is providing UNIX and Microsoft Windows support services to approximately 1.75 million DISA users, while the Ogden location provides customer contact, status reporting, information distribution and other services
to DISA user communities worldwide. Under this DISA contract, St. Louis-based Chameleon plans, tests, integrates, operates, maintains and optimizes comprehensive IT support environments at all GSD facilities.

Chameleon’s DISA Global Service Desk contract is part of its DISA IT Enterprise Support Services (DESS) contract, which was awarded to Chameleon and four other firms in 2013 to compete for more than $400 million of military IT services and equipment for 8,200 DISA employees in the U.S. and at international locations over a five-year period. Chameleon is a small business prime contractor to the Department of Defense.
