Desktop Support System Administrator

This project with the Army at Travis AFB in Fairfield, CA. The position is for a Desktop Support Systems Administrator. You must have Active Secret Clearance and be 8570 Compliant with Security + or greater. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Onsite Monday-Friday will be a requirement at least in the beginning. Position Overview:*Provides support to end users on a variety of issues. *Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. *Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support. *Documents, tracks, and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution. Responsibilities:*Provide Tier II and Tier III troubleshooting and problem resolution for classified and unclassified Microsoft Server Operating System technologies including Windows Server 2008 R2, and Windows Server 2012 R2 in a geographically distributed environment *Create PowerShell Scripts and GUI Applications to automate administration *Administrator NetBackup systems *Currently serving as Desktop support administrator for approximately over 200 users, both on and off site. *Built and deployed 240 Laptop for a site wide tech refresh. *Implemented SCCM (Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager) to replace WSUS reducing patch times by half. *Responding to help tickets via AAG in-house ticketing system (ECM). *Active Directory user account management *Converted over 240 system from windows 7 to windows 10 *Managing windows patching and non-windows security patches assigned to me by the information assurance officer for all workstation and laptops both on and offsite. *Building new System OS images based off of the Army's AMG (Army Gold Master) image. *Maintain 100% accurate inventory *Software maintenance and basic troubleshooting. *Configuration and deployment of Windows workstation OS images utilizing third party image deployment software as well as ACAS scans and OS hardening per STIG regulations to facilitate image transfers to user workstations. *Assist Sr. Windows Administrators with workstation patching and updating servers on a monthly basis and as well as with server builds. *In charge of Microsoft Bitlocker Encryption server and ensuring all laptops/desktops are encrypted before deployment to end users per DISA requirements. *Implemented Bitlocker Encryption security on over 200 system both onsite and remote. *Facilities duties, as in UPS upkeep, maintenance, replacement of batteries, modules, etc. Must have experience with the following: *Possess an active Secret clearance *Advanced Bit Locker Security Suite Administration and Configuration; *Intermediate DISA Gold, Army Gold Master Administration and Configuration (is preferred) *Must be 8570 certified (Security+ or higher certification)
